When it comes to equity division between co-founders, most community members advocated for equal or near-equal splits (47.5/52.5 at the most uneven). However, they were more flexible on the salary question.

Several founders shared that they maintain equal equity splits while drawing different salaries based on individual financial circumstances. As one founder put it, "We have equal shares but different salaries based on the needs at hand. The difference is not that huge though."

This practical approach recognizes that founders often come from different financial backgrounds and have different personal obligations. A single founder might need less than one supporting a family, for instance.
